Just wanted to give you all some updates on what all is going on here at Vintage. As always I am adding more products to the site, including the new speakers from Weber (the Gray Wolf and their new Bass Speakers), new tube kits for current production amplifiers, Yellow Jacket Tube converters, parts as well as some services that I will offering.
This brings me to my the next part of my update. Looking for something that you dont see on the site? Give me a call or send me an email and let me know what you are looking for. Got a suggestion for the site? I am always open to suggestions to help make the site even better for you!
Rock on!

So I decided to create my own fuzz pedal for Conner Amps. So I did a little research into the whole “fuzz” world and what made a fuzz pedal a fuzz pedal. Looked at all the popular ones that so many people have cloned / modded, then decided that I would go my own way and build one from the ground up. Using completely different transistors and just tinkering with the design. If everything works right I should have one ready to show off at the Southeastern Guitar and Amp Show in Raleigh, NC later this month.
I’ll keep you posted on how the build goes. In the meantime if you are around Raleigh, NC September 24th & 25th be sure to stop by the show and say hi! I’ll have 6 other pedals, 2 amps and ton of other gear for you to try out! That includes 6 different models of Weber speakers, like the the Blue Dog, Silver Bell as well as the two models from the Legacy Series and DT series!
See ya then!

Just in from JJ Electronics!
JJ 6550 – Available in singles, matched pairs, quads and sextets!
The JJ 6550 is musical in every sense of the word and will improve the sound of your high-powered bass and guitar amps with punch and clarity.
JJ 6CA7 – EL34 Alternative – Available in singles, matched pairs and quads!
The 6CA7 is a large bottle version fo the classic EL34 that gives a bigger and warmer sound than any EL34 in the market today. It is a substitute for all amps that use EL34s.
JJ EL844 – EL84 Alternative – Available in singles, matched pairs and quads!
The last addition to the line has been designed by JJ from scratch, an EL844. A substitute for any EL84, the EL844 has lower gain and a more balanced, dynamic sound.

Yup thats right, finally got some time to get back to prototyping some new gear. Pieced one together tonight after a little tweaking and tinkering. This is a preamp / overdrive pedal that started with as one of those “about to fall asleep on the workbench” ideas. When it comes to design or laying things out, I like to stay with the attitude of Keep-It-Simple-Stupid. It has no tone stack right now. Dont know if I want to add one or not.
Here’s the setup:
ESP Viper (Bridge PuP) -> Prototype -> Solidstate Amp (flat settings) -> 2×12 Cab Loaded w/ WGS Veteran 30s
Shure SM57 about 2″ off center straight into Reaper. No effects or EQs. Then compressed to MP3 192kbs with LAME mp3 encoder.
Prototype V.1KR
So let me know what you think.
Cheers,
Steve
